Walter Pressley Ferguson

Walter Pressley Ferguson, age 61, of North Wilkesboro, passed away, Friday, June 7, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, in Winston-Salem. Mr. Ferguson was born July 9, 1962, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, to Walter Press Hailey and Esther Ferguson. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter, Deneaka Jones, sister, Marilyn Ferguson, and brother, Anthony Hailey. Walter was a coach and mentor at the YMCA. He was an avid tennis and basketball player and enjoyed putting model cars together.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Casey Walker officiating. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M., prior to the service. Flowers will be appreciated.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Nicholas Billips, of Charleston, South Carolina, Dominique Jones Moore, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Sharona Sullivan, and Nicole Bunker, both of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, siblings, Sterling Hailey, of South Carolina, Dora Hailey, of Wilkesboro, Rachel Hailey, of Cricket. Nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, also survive.
