Leonard Parsons

Mr. Leonard Parsons, age 76 of Boomer, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronald Howell officiating. 

Mr. Parsons was born January 9, 1948, in Wilkes County to Fred Howard and Sadie Amy Carlton Parsons.  He was a member of Thankful Baptist Church.  He retired after 47 years from Bernhardt Furniture.  

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Howard Parsons; his wife, Billie Lorraine Ferguson Parsons; and one brother, Douglas Parsons.

He is survived by his mother, Sadie Amy Carlton Parsons; three daughters, Amie Parsons of Wilkesboro, Margaret Parsons of Boomer, and Brandy Parsons Harper and husband Patrick of Lenoir; one son, Shawn Parsons of Boomer; eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey Parsons, Constance Parsons, Victoria Smalls, Will Ferguson, Whitney Ferguson, Tiawan Harper, Tre-Shon Harper, Trustin Harper, Logan Stepps, Talia Michaux, and Lyrick Parsons; twelve great-grandchildren, Daytona Stepps, Davina Stepps, Amiria Parsons, Christian Witt, Ximena Lozano, Luis Lozano, Evanece Parsons, Emil Harper, Tru Harper, Willson Ferguson, Azarion Buchanan, and Emeril Ferguson; one sister, Gladys Rowe of Hendersonville; and one brother, Lee Parsons of Boomer.
