Elma Jean “Nana” Morrison, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House.
She was born September 7, 1943, in Ashe County, the daughter of the late Carl Barr and Mary Bell Eldreth Barr.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed raising a garden, loved her animals especially Snowball, and shopping. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bobby Louis Morrison, Sr.; her sisters, Peggy Duvall, Wilma Fuhr; her daughters-in-law, Pam Morrison and Vivian Morrison.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her sons, Bobby Morrison, Jr. of Stony Point, Anthony Morrison (Carol) of Vale, Marc Morrison (Monica) of Advance; Jody Morrison of Cleveland, Mickey Morrison (Hollie) of Cleveland; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen Barr, Bobbie Blevins, Shirley Blevins, Carol “Rose” Hinckley, Linda Comptom, Cristie Smith; her brothers, Dean Barr, Jack Barr, Steve J. Barr; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Alan Wheeler, Pastor Matt Cranford, Dr. James Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Noon, Monday, January 13, 2025, at Scenic Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
