Carl Henry Anderson, age 72, of Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2024 at Atrium Health-Wilkes Medical Center. Mr. Anderson was born July 3, 1952 in Wilkes County to Arthur and Della Mae Brown Anderson. He was a US Marine Veteran, serving in Vietnam. Carl was of the Baptist Faith and a saved Christian. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, golfing and going to the beach. He was one that loved Life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Barbara Anderson; son, Curt Anderson; brother, Arthur Wayne Anderson; and sisters, Norma Jean Moore and Phyllis Diane Bowers.
Carl is survived by his son, Douglas Anderson of Wilkesboro; nieces, Angela “Squeaky” Cockerham and spouse Jamie of North Wilkesboro, Michelle Roy and spouse Sam of Rock Hill, South Carolina; nephew, Jessie Bowers and spouse Ila of Union Grove; five great nieces; two great nephews; and several others.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Junior Younce officiating. Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard Post 1142 will follow in Scenic Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 12:00 until 1:00 on Sunday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
